Product Description

Modeling and Control of Infectious Diseases in the Host

With MATLAB and R

A systematic framework to simulate, emulate and control viral infections

Esteban A. Hernandez-Vargas (Author)

9780128130520, Elsevier Science

Paperback / softback, published 19 February 2019

256 pages

23.5 x 19 x 1.7 cm, 0.52 kg

\""Given the still very limited number of textbooks covering within-host modeling, this new volume is a welcome addition. It is written in a fairly technical style. Therefore, immunologists, virologists, and other bench scientists, who might have limited training in differential equations and coding, might not find this the most accessible way of learning the topic. However, for individuals with a strong quantitative background, this publication provides a nice introduction to the subject of within-host modeling. After working through the book, readers will have gained a solid introduction to the field and should be ready to proceed to the primary research literature]
