NATURALLY MADE WITH ITALIAN WINE – Produced using a Moscato wine base in the same way was the original Cocchi Americano in Asti, Piedmont, Northern Italy. It has been produced to the same recipe without interruption since 1891 AMERICANO APERITIF – Gentian and wormwood botanicals define it as an Americano, the name is from the added bitterness (‘amaricato’) of the bitter herbs and spices and also because of the American habit of drinking vermouth with ice and soda TRADITIONAL ITALIAN ORIGINS – Giulio Cocchi founded his business in the North West Italian town of Asti in 1891 after becoming fascinated with the pairing of food and wine. Giulio began producing quality aromatic wines with a focus on the aperitivo FRUITY FLAVOUR - Bitter oranges and elderflower on the nose, followed by tropical notes of mango, pineapple and papaya. The rich body of the Moscato grape makes this the perfect accompaniment in the original and Classic Italian Spritz THE SYMBOL OF ASTI – The Rooster is the symbol of the city of Asti where Giulio Cocchi first set up shop. Cocchi’s singing rooster is from the 1920s and represents its aperitivo function - “It awakens the appetite THE CLASSIC ITALIAN SPRITZ – Cocchi’s Traditional Spritz: 50ml Cocchi Americano, ice and top with soda, garnish with an orange peel.
