Product Description

Grow your own elegant evergreen tree for your home! The glossy evergreen leaves and gently arching branches provide year-round interest and plants complement almost every style of interior. The Weeping fig is a popular houseplant, compact and slow growing, forming a magnificent evergreen tree after many years. A fine focal point for a bright sunny room – it makes a spectacular conservatory specimen plant. Height: 300cm (118"). Spread: 150cm (59").Sow seeds on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp, seed compost. Then lightly cover, 1mm deep with vermiculite or compost. Place container in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag at a temperature of 21-26C (70-80F) until after germination which usually takes 10-42 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, into trays or 7.5cm (3") pots. Ficus benjamina needs careful placement if it is to thrive. Weeping Figs dislike being moved and tend to shed their leaves if repositioned, so it is worth taking care to find the right spot, with plenty of room to grow, from the outset. Position in a bright room, away from cold draughts and radiators, with a constant temperature of between 16-24C (60-75F). Ideally Weeping Figs should receive a good balance of sun and shade but avoid the direct glare of the sun. Please note: some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested. If you believe your pet has consumed a poisonous plant then seek veterinary attention immediately. Take a sample of the plant with you.Product specifications:Height: Up to 300cm when fully establishedSpread: Up to 150cm when fully establishedSupplied as 1x Weeping Fig seed packet (approx. 50 seeds)Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
