Product Description

AquaPond Care Pond Fish Fungus & Bacteria treatment is an effective, concentrated and easy to use medicinal formula for treating fungus, fin rot and mouth rot organisms on goldfish, koi, carp and other pond fish. Common external fungal and bacterial problems include finrot, mouth fungus, mouth rot (Flexibacter columnaris) and cotton wool fungus (Saprolegnia sp.) As well as being a fast effective treatment of all these issues; this targeted treatment is completely wildlife safe! Certain species of bacteria cause fin, mouth and body tissue to be eaten away. A bacterial infection may cause tail, fin and mouth rot in susceptible fish — those who are bullied or injured by fin-nipping tank mates — especially when kept in poor conditions. Open wounds are also susceptible to fungal attack which can result in cotton wool-like infestations. Early diagnosis of these problems is essential to prevent the infection from becoming fatal. Symptoms include:  Fish dying without obvious cause Mouth and fins appear to be rotting away. Presence of white cotton wool-like growths on the fish Emaciation (sunken belly) Clamped fins Lethargy, sluggish behaviour Use 50ml per 2273 litres or 500 gallons treat once a day for 5 days 250ml bottle treats 2273 litres or 500 gallons (5 days x 50ml) 1000ml bottle treats 9092 litres or 2000 gallons (5 days x 200ml) Directions for use Calculate the ponds volume in litres using the following: [Length x width x average depth (in metres)] x 1000  Shake bottle well Remove dosage chamber cap and foil seal, squeeze bottle until chamber is filled to the required level.  Add 50ml for every 2,272l of pond water. We recommend adding the treatment to a bucket of pond water and then evenly distributing this over the surface of the pond, or an area with high flow.  This is course of treatment, the pond should be treated every day at roughly the same time for five consecutive days. We recommend testing your water for any underlying water quality issues to help prevent further issues. If necessary, it is safe to repeat the course of treatment after 7 days.
